On Becoming a Christian
If you are interested in becoming a Christian, we urge you to speak with the Church Pastor or a Deacon. When you are ready to accept and respond to the healing and forgiving love of God that was demonstrated in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you are invited to publicly confess your faith.
In worship, after coming forward during the invitation hymn, the Pastor will ask, "Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God and do you accept Him as your Lord and Savior?" Upon your affirmation, a service of Christian baptism will be scheduled with you. When you become a baptized Christian, you also become a member of the church.
On Becoming a Member
Membership is open to all who confess and believe in Jesus Christ and are baptized in His name. When you join this church, you do so in one of three ways:
- Confession of Faith in Jesus Christ and baptism into the church. The subject of baptism must be old enough to be a believer.
- A transfer of membership from another church. We do ask all members to be immersed in baptism as a believer.
- Reaffirmation or Rededication of faith.
All new members are invited to unite with the church by coming forward in worship during the invitation hymn. We welcome all new members into the warm fellowship of this local church.
